There's a lot of Elon Musk/DOGE-fueled misinformation out there about how Social Security is "broken", a "scam", and "rife with fraud". 🤬
The truth is that Social Security is the most effective cradle to grave social safety net in America and there's very little evidence of fraud. (1)👍

Roughly 67 million Americans receive Social Security benefits each month (2), and more than 7 million Americans aged 65 and up are utterly dependent on it as those benefits account for 90% or more of their total income. (3)
Here's another truth: Social Security is paid for by the poor and the middle class. Currently, Social Security taxes only apply to earnings up to $176,100 which is, perhaps not coincidentally, right around where the middle class ends and the wealthy begins... (4)
WHY ON EARTH SHOULDN'T THE RICH PAX SOCIAL SECURITY TAXES ON ALL OF THEIR INCOME? They can certainly afford to!
