Russia unleashed a barrage against Kharkiv, Nikopol, Mykolaiv, Poltava and Dnipro last night.
x This is my birth city Kharkiv, Ukraine. This is an insanity. Reportedly, Russia started an offensive on the city. It is the first capital of Ukraine with (normally) a population of 2M.

Russia also bombed a diaper warehouse in Dnipro.
x Russia hit a warehouse storing nappies (diapers) according to the Mayor of Dnipro. That's the reason why there is a lot of smoke and the fire is difficult to control. It's confirmed 3 people are hospitalised, one man was killed.

9 apartment blocks as well as cars, garages and other buildings were damaged.

Did Russian air defense think that Ukraine flew a helicopter all the way to Moscow?
x Last night, a helicopter flew over Moscow — but the Russians got so spooked, they ended up shooting down their own aircraft. Who needs enemies with air defense like that?

This area is north of Lyman and Sloviansk.
x Ukraine updates for the past fortnight: Russian forces advancing west of Nevske and Terny have reached and taken Katerynivka as well as positions along the Ukrainian fortification line in the area.

Another 1,420 Russians who gambled and lost, plus 70 artillery systems.
Here is a report from a Russian media outlet called People of Baikal about a village in Siberia that has become spooked over recent crashes of Tu-22 bombers.
x In less than a year, two Russian bombers have crashed near a small Siberian village, not far from a military airfield. Now, residents are increasingly afraid the next one might land on their homes.

When Nina arrived at the crash site, large pieces of the bomber were still burning. She could make out one of the turbines, but the rest of the aircraft had shattered across the field in small fragments. Other villagers had already begun to gather. “It looked like someone had crumbled a loaf of bread, you know? That’s what the crash site looked like,” Nina says. Locals — including Nina’s husband — immediately began searching for surviving crew members. Two of the pilots were found within half an hour in a nearby forest. A third managed to make his way out of the woods on his own, emerging near the village cemetery. His face was covered in blood. “I ran up to him and asked, ‘How many of you are there? Where are the others?’” Nina recalls. “But he was in shock — he didn’t say a word. And when he found out the fourth pilot had died, he started crying.”
Ferry service between Ukraine and Georgia is restored.
x Woot!! 🚢🛳️ Add this to the list of things we have been excitedly keeping a secret! If Ukraine says they will do something, they will. Congratulations Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukrferry, we can't wait to see you more!

An interesting point about why a truce in the Black Sea is unlikely — it might allow Russia to bring more warships through the Bosporus Strait at Istanbul and into the Black Sea.
x The RunDown I did a thread on the Black Sea yesterday which included one of the biggest issues that I don’t hear discussed as often about a potential Black Sea Deal, the potential for Russia to bring in ships to revamp the Black Sea Fleet.

Russia struggles to provide clean water and sanitary sewers to its citizens so this should be no surprise.
Russian TV is rather schizophrenic. Recently they decided his tariffs were so fabulous that they wanted to erect a statue of him on a horse.
But just a few days earlier they were ripping him a new one.
x Meanwhile in Russia: state TV pundits have been obviously given permission from above to shred Donald Trump for his failure to immediately deliver everything the Kremlin was anticipating — and Vladimir Solovyov's guests have unloaded upon Trump with gusto.

A more authentic statue of Trump would show him sexually assaulting a woman or mocking soldiers as losers.
x Meanwhile in Russia: Vladimir Solovyov and his fellow state TV propagandists praised Trump for imposing tariffs and striking a devastating blow against the West. They proposed awarding Trump a medal or erecting a monument of him sitting on a horse. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TFt...

The recent attack on Kyiv destroyed this electronics warehouse.
x During the shelling of Kyiv on April 6, one of the Russian ballistic missiles hit an electronics warehouse. Over 100,000 phones, tablets, and power stations were destroyed in the explosion and fire. The owner, Oleksii Harusov, shared some powerful words. Please listen to him.

This guy is supposed to be Trump’s spiritual adviser. How long before he is thrown under the bus?
x Speaking to the Kyiv Independent’s Chris York, Pastor Mark Burns urged people to “throw politics out the window” and support Ukraine in its fight against the “pure evil” of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
[image or embed] — The Kyiv Independent (@kyivindependent.com) April 10, 2025 at 9:15 AM
Here is what he said in an interview with The Kyiv Independent:
Pastor Mark Burns: Obviously being on the ground in Ukraine has changed my opinion significantly. I am on record as being one of the staunch opponents of supporting Ukraine. But it took me being in Kyiv, being at Bucha, seeing the atrocities that have taken place, innocent lives being killed, executed, and knowing the nearly 700 religious institutions have been intentionally targeted by the Russians, and 20,000 children have been kidnapped and deported back to Russia, not including the 1.3 million children that are unaccounted for. When you hear these atrocities… It changed my perspective significantly. I now believe that supporting Ukraine is America first. I am still a staunch supporter of who I believe is the greatest president in my lifetime — President Donald Trump.
Why would they be carrying smoke grenades more often?
2/ My instincts are to say it may be due to a shortage of frags since all they do in open field combat is locate you position when you set them off.
x 1/ Storm-Z meat assault troops who are hit by an FPV or bomblet on the way to the objective are more frequently carrying smoke grenades. #OSINT

I look forward to the video that shows the smoldering wreck of this Frankentruck.
x Russians never cease to amaze with their engineering innovations. This time, they’ve decided to ditch the glass and weld on metal grilles instead. Well then, just how well-thought-out that decision was — we’ll only see on the battlefield.

Russia introduces drones that drop grenades as they fly along.
x ❗️Russian "Shaheds" have started dropping ammunition, which will later detonate. Elements with signs of fragmentation grenades. ⚠️ Yesterday, Kyiv residents could hear the sounds during the drone attack on the city, according to monitoring channels.

This sounds repressive but the Moscow Patriarchate functions like a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kremlin.
