Why I’m voting for Ken Paxton for U.S. Senator in the Texas primaries. [1]

I’ve been calling Senator (in name only) John Cornyn’s offices so often in the last month, they may have begun to recognize my voice. Over and over, I’ve BEGGED the Senator to say something about DOGE (Pronounced ‘Dodgy’), legal residents being denied basic constitutional rights, wholesale tariff destruction, incompetent cabinet and sub-cabinet nominees, and social security being dismantled.
Crickets. Form letters about how great Trump is doing and how he (Cornyn) is completely behind him. 100 percent.
So I made my last call to my Senator’s office. I told the very nice woman who answered the phone that I would be voting for his challenger, Ken (con-man) Paxton in the Republican primaries because Senator Cornyn has not done his constitutional duties to ‘advise and consent’, manage budgets, manage tariffs, or keep the executive in check, leaving the entire burden to the judicial branch. I told her that I felt that the only difference between Senator Cornyn and Mr. Paxton was that one of their names started with a ‘K’.
Now… this may seem crazy and self-defeating, but quite frankly what exactly is the difference between a real con-man and a coward who gives a con-man everything he wants? This way, hopefully, maybe (a teenie-tiny maybe) the democrat candidate (likely Colin Allred) would have a better chance against the slightly less ethical republican candidate.
But my real reason is simply this. Cornyn is a coward, a sheep, noxious leopard-bait. He simply can’t continue to be rewarded for what he may think in his heart of hearts, but will not act on.
