Well this should be interesting, and I haven’t seen a diary here on this.
I just saw in my news feed that the slimy crook, POS Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a true sleazebag who should be in jail, is going to challenge 4 term incumbent John Cornyn for the Texas US Senate Race in 2026.

I have had the privilege to say that I voted against Cornyn 4 times when I lived in Texas, starting with his first election in 2002. He is a reliable Republican vote and did not vote to convict The Felonious Fascist. I am not sure what has earned him a primary challenge from Paxton.
The odd thing now is that I am in a position to hope Cornyn wins, because Paxton would be a bigger asshole than #CancunCruz! Sadly, I don’t think that Texas is smart enough yet to elect a Democrat to the Senate, and I say that having lived there for 32 years.
Am I wrong for having this position?
I just hope that it is a nasty dirty primary fight and that whoever wins is mortally wounded politically. Who knows, we might be able to pull on off there?
Decades ago, conservative and liberal Texas Democrats fought tooth and nail, while Republicans laid the groundwork to take over the state. Maybe this could be the beginning of the end for Texas Republicans?
One can only hope.
In the meantime, LET THEM FIGHT, pass the popcorn, and let’s enjoy the show!
