Today is a victory for common sense. Donald Trump and his cronies were beaten back by the market, the invisible hand formed into a very powerful fist to beat back the tariff war Trump declared on the world. But our victory is not permanent, nor is it complete. Still our disastrous trade war on China continues, and 10% tariffs across the board will hammer all businesses in this country, but even a small victory these days is cause for celebration. Trump is in full retreat as the White House slowly but surely becomes his own prison where he is besieged by all who he attempts to wrong, the American people, the international community, and the voters of this country who have never supported him with a majority. Donald Trump and his economic terrorism will be beaten, as will his illegal and brazen attack on Foreign aid.
When he cut off foreign aid for nations under threat in Asia, in Africa, and in Europe he signaled to the world that the US was abandoning the world stage, then he tried to set off an economic nuke to cover his exit. But we are still watching and we will not give in to the demands of a tyrant. The United States is a nation of laws, no American will ever bow to a king, as much as Trump tries to put a crown upon his head. We will beat him and restore the foreign aid the world so desperately needs, and the foreign aid the people of this nation want and support.
