Billy Long, Nominated to be IRS Commissioner, is a Fraudster [1]

It has been previously disclosed that Billy Long, the grifter who Trump has nominated to be IRS Commissioner, has been involved in hawking employee retention credits.
At least employee retention credits are a real thing, even if many of the applications for them are fraudulent.
Now Long has been connected to White River Energy Corp., a supposed oil and gas company that sells “sovereign tribal tax credits” to taxpayers. Purchasers of the “sovereign tribal tax credits” use the supposed credits to offset their federal income tax liability.
Except that “sovereign tribal tax credits” are not a real thing—there is no such animal under the Internal Revenue Code. Most tax credit scams rely on overvaluing donated property or overstating deductions. White River has taken tax credit scams to a whole new level by simply creating “sovereign tribal tax credits” out of thin air and then selling them to the credulous, gullible, stupid, or criminal (or combinations thereof).
And Billy Long is apparently in bed with White River, having received at least $5,000 for referrals.
It is impossible to plumb the depths of corruption that is the Trump Administration.
