This morning, I had a work meeting. I work for a Hybrid online Spanish school part live teachers (zoom) par online work (platform). There is also a physical school in Haiti that is closed for the moment because… chaos.
I was hired to do the marketing but seeing as we are 4 people keeping this school alive, I have over the 8 or so months I’ve worked there taken on more and more responsibilities. Accounting, correspondence, animations etc... at no extra pay mind you.
Imagine my shock this morning when the director of the physical school got in a huff and puff because she was not informed that we were changing the payment methods and going to do monthly subscriptions instead of asking the students to pay for the whole 3 months for each level.
This woman who understands zilch about online anything, or computer anything, who can’t do an excel spreadsheet or log on to Quip on her own, had the unmitigated gall to tell me I was taking on too much and that I was employed to do marketing! I get 400$ a month! (I got 2 jobs the other pays 500$ usually translations save my butt each month).
This woman also has nothing to do with the online school, except that she pays the teachers, because she has zero IT skills the other 3 of us work our butts off on that school. And I’m the only one with the time and skills to take on the extra work.
Unbelievable!
