tRump's tariffs bringing in much less than he claims [1]

WASHINGTON, April 8 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday the United States is taking in $2 billion per day from tariffs. He made the comment without providing details during an event at the White House. Trump has imposed an array of tariffs on other countries since taking office in January. The Treasury Department's daily statement of deposits into and withdrawals from the its general account, the federal government's main operating account, shows "Customs and Certain Excise Taxes" deposits have on average totaled around $200 million a day so far this month.
Unfortunately, the headline highlights tRump’s lie and not the truth: does anyone know how to contact Reuters to complain?
But it’s only 10% of what he claims. Which is actually good because that would be a tax on us, not other countries.
This matters because he’s trying to look successful when he is not. He is a con man. This number may be used to justify tax breaks for billionaires. But it is 200 million per day, not 2 billion.
Also, Congress should be in charge of tariffs, not tRump (or any other president). Look at this:
