WE THE PEOPLE [1]

The United States Constitution begins with “We the People”. It does not start with “we the billionaires”. It does not start with we the oligarchs” or “we the CEOs”. It starts with “the people” and never mentions the rich, the powerful, or the bosses.
Without “the people” there would be no United States, no constitution, and no billionaires.
Most billionaires probably deserve their success because of their creativity, ingenuity, intelligence and hard work. But, no matter how hard they worked, they would have nothing without “the people”. The people do all of the real work and make all of the products, and “the people” buy the products.
The amount of the billionaires success depends on the quantity and quality of the products that the people produce. Healthy, hard working, productive people are going to make the billionaires richer. Good, affordable healthcare and nutrition are not only good for the people, they are good for the billionaires, too.
The world is constantly advancing, especially in science and technology. If the United States is going to maintain its status in the world, it needs to advance as much or more than the other countries. We need the best scientists, engineers, and technicians, and importing them from other countries may not be reliable in the future. We need to produce our own scientists, engineers, and technicians, and “the people” are our only real source. We need the best public schools and colleges and real opportunity for every child. It would be good for “the people”, and we would find the best scientists, engineers, and technicians and keep America great.
The United States needs its people to be healthy, productive, loyal, and patriotic. If “the people” have good schools and colleges with real opportunity, affordable healthcare, and basic security, our country can be the best and stay the best.
Of course, “the people” is every citizen of the United States including every race, religion, gender, age, and political persuasion. Probably, every legal immigrant is part of “the people” to some extent , too.
Eventually, the United States of America may be the United People of America.
