Welcome to Tuesday!
In an unusual turn of events, Monday was just as chaotic as the weekend. Mostly because stock markets don’t trade on Saturday and Sunday, and this was the first chance they had to vomit during proper operating hours.
It was also the first day back in court for the latest round of emergency cases surrounding the administration’s kidnapping activities.
We’ll have a lot of catching up to do on that. And even with the whole day ahead of us, we might not catch up to the last development before there’s another.
But that’s the idea, as you well know.
Today’s countdown numbers:
176 days until the “legal” funding for what’s left of the US government runs out… again!
1,383 days remaining in Trump’s legal term of office
574 days until the midterm elections, if we have them
635 days—if we have those elections—until we seat a new Congress The Invasion Bingo random country generator says today’s an unlucky day for: Uruguay! Unlikely! Way down there, but not “bordering” Antarctica, so not strategically valuable. Borders Brazil. Do we like them, these days? But, has a capital that reminds us of Monty Python videos, or something.
