Donald wants to work in a coal mine [1]

I started this back on March 17th. It just didn't seem worthy to post at the time. It became time with Trump and Doug Burgum, and Chris Wright announcing they are now completely serious about expanding the coal industry. I thought I was being cute with the Tennessee Ernie Ford song. It's not so funny anymore.
"You load 16 tons, and what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt. I owe my soul to the company store." Sixteen Tons - Hit record about coal mining by Tennessee Ernie Ford.
Trump is eating, living, breathing fossil fuels. He just decided to ramp up the worst one.
He's absolutely gone bonkers, ferschimeled and off the rails this time.
Where do I start? The whole thing is a bad dream. It's one, long, insane sentence. The man doesn't know when to use a period and start a new one.
"After years of being held captive..." Like Patty Hearst?
"Environmental Extremists, Lunatics, Radicals, and Thugs..." He could have just said it was "Environmental Extremists" and left it at that. But anyone that is against the use of coal has to be degraded.
He's right about China building power plants. There was an estimate I saw where was one coal-fired plant going online each week.
How it is that his administration has become a miner and coal plant operator is beyond me.
"BEAUTIFUL CLEAN COAL."
There's no such thing. There is technology for scrubbing the pollutants out of the air, but it's expensive, and the thing about coal is it's cheap, so they don't use them and we've got Lee Zeldin heading up the EPA and he doesn't care. He loves fossil fuels.
Then today, Trump did posts that told me that the March 17th post wasn't a one-off.
First you've got the Secretary of Energy Chris Wright saying it's a revival of the coal industry.
Then you've got Doug Burgum ready to destroy federal lands with all the pollution coal mining creates.
"American Energy Dominance."
We don't need coal to do that. We've been energy independent since 2019. We've got so much we have to sell it abroad.
"The Golden Age..." It won't shine very much covered with black coal dust. He's hallucinating as much as Trump. "...lead the charge!" More like Custer's Last Stand, than Teddy Roosevelt.
Then, Donald had to top off the tank with his new pollution promise. Historic action is right. Just not the good way.

"We're ending Joe Biden's war on beautiful, clean coal, once and for all..."
Poor Joe just doesn't get any respect anymore. He's the cause of all our ills. If coal is beautiful and clean, Donald, why don't you eat some of it? Better yet, go down into a mine and breathe in all that coal dust and get black lung disease? You can jump into a garbage truck. Show us how brave you are in a mine.
"... we're going to put the miners back to work!"
They took some courses and became computer programmers. Nobody wants to work in a coal mine anymore. It's literally a dead end job. Only Joe Manchin might show up. But he won't go into the mine either. Do as I say, not what I do.
Coal-fired power plants don't just pollute the air, they create sludge ponds. With the rain that's coming from climate change, they can overflow and create environmental disasters. Or even have a containment wall break and release it.
There's a reason coal is the last thing we need to be doing right now when there are so many renewable and clean options. Hydrogen batteries sound really good.
There is a new executive order and fact sheet on this disaster. I need to find out some things out before I dissect them in another diary.
It won't be pretty.
