Trump's time is up [1]

Adam Schiff said what I meant in Trump says: Let them eat golf, when he said on Meet The Press on Sunday, that Trump on the golf course:

"... may end up being the most enduring image of the Trump presidency --- the president out on a golf cart while people's retirement is in flames. It will be the Trump recession. He will completely own it."

On Air Force One, Trump proudly claimed he was the winner of the Senior Club Championship at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.

"It's good to win. You heard I won? Did you hear I won? Just to back it up, there --- I won. I like to win."

So much winning, Donald, we can't handle it. /s.

I liked Chuck Todd's post as well as Schiff's.

Tone-deaf is right. Also the Washington General-like competitors. Instead of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Trump is talking about figuring out a way to have a third term in office, when he's not going to survive through to the end of this one, is another sign of his insanity. By not survive, I mean either he dies of natural causes, is removed from office with the 25th Amendment, or is finally impeached and convicted in the Senate. One of those three is going to happen soon, in my humble opinion.

The Hands Off! protests are the writing on the wall for Trump's political demise. There were millions on Saturday protesting. That will turn into tens of millions. 75 million people voted against Trump in November, and now they will be joined by Independents, and even Republicans. You could see 100 million people telling Trump to leave office.

Newsweek had a story about a retirement community in Florida called The Villages that had 2,000 members show up for Saturday's Hands Off! protest. Many lined a street in their golf carts with their protest signs. These are from their newspaper.

I'd zoom in to show the golf carts, but there are a huge amount of them lining the street.

Here's a short clip on YouTube of them protesting.

Just one more shot of a cart littered with signs.

If a Republican stronghold like this can be forced by circumstances to join the protest, there's more to come.

Hope. There is some that the November mistake can be rectified. It must be rectified before so much damage is done to government agency operations that can never be recovered. Many agencies are fighting back.

There are 174 federal cases showing on the Just Security Litigation Tracker against the Trump administration.

Trump has had an Oval Office question and answer with Netanyahu and announced that talks were going to happen with Iran. Also that if talks were unsuccessful it would be bad for Iran. They also talked tariffs. Netanyahu said he would address the trade deficit with the U.S. and eliminate trade barriers. Trump had more to say. Reporters asked about a pause on the tariffs, which had been rumored on Sunday.

"Well, we're not looking at that. We have many, many countries are coming to negotiate deals with us, and they're going to be fair deals. There can also be negotiations."

Trump loves negotiations, but he won't do the real work work of trade treaties.

The joint news conference with Trump and Netanyahu did not happen. It was abruptly canceled before Netanyahu's arrival without any explanation.

The White House says that Trump would veto Sen. Chuck Grassley and Sen. Maria Cantwell's bill to curtail a president's ability to impose tariffs. Seven Republican Senators are co-sponsoring the bill. The cracks are widening.

The "good" news is the Dow "only" went down -349.26 and -0.91%. S&P -0.23%. Nasdaq went up 0.099%. Nice to see some green instead of red.

This could be a short reprieve in the market. Trump's tariffs are horrible for us, the U.S., and the rest of the world, but Trump won't give up on a proven wrong tactic. His brain is now McKinley's. Or maybe it's on Mt. McKinley in the rarified air and he's dizzy, or more likely ditzy. McKinley imposed tariffs, but he was also assassinated by an anarchist who saw him as an enemy of the working people. Trump should take note. He's gotten a huge number of people angrier than they have ever been in their whole lives.

Trump has already threatened that he won't change his policy on tariffs and at the same time that he says it's fine to negotiate. He's gotten world leaders so mixed up they have no idea how to handle his derangement.

Neither do we, except more protests. We need a ring of protesters around the White House every day to let him know we aren't going away. We will not be silent.

As Benjamin Franklin reportedly said at the signing of the Declaration of Independence:

"We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."

I like the idea of hanging out together, better.
