For whatever it’s worth…
We live in a very nice community in the East Bay Area of California. As we all know California is blue, but this little enclave is ruby red. Easily a 1% community. Country Club, many facilities, gated with security — the whole nine. It’s nice.
Back before I switched to mail in voting the nice folks at the primary polling place would be a tad flustered when I asked for the Democratic Party primary ballot — I could imagine the wheels turning “oh, so your the one!”
My wife does swim aerobics 3 days per week with a dedicated group of women. They are all friends now but never talk politics. Yesterday (Saturday) the group was talking and she was very surprised to hear that 4 of the 7 were going to Hands Off protests. These gals were incensed at the market crash (self interest) and the criminal deportations.
A simple antidote, but for these sorts of people with their kind of education and money to be taking this action early in this fubar administration — well its worth a short story.
