Trump-Backing Billionaires Get the Pain They Deserve [1]

In most cases, I don’t like to see bad things happen to people. I certainly don’t want bad things to happen to the 75 million Americans who voted for Kamala Harris in 2024. When bad things happen to the morons who either voted for Donald Trump or didn’t bother voting at all, I feel neither sympathy nor glee, but hope that they learn a lesson from it. When bad things happen to Trump-backing billionaires like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Peter Thiel, however, I feel positively overjoyed. That’s why I was so happy to see this news (Apr. 5):
“In the two days after Trump’s tariff was announced, Apple’s stock dropped 16 percent, Meta was down 14 percent and Amazon fell 13 percent. According to estimates from Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, Tesla CEO Elon Musk personally lost $110 billion from his net worth so far this year, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos $37.6 billion and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg $18.6 billion.”

I was also happy to see that far-right tech billionaire Peter Thiel — founder and chairman of Palantir Technologies, and the Dr. Frankenstein who created the monster known to us as J.D. Vance — is also losing money (See “Why Palantir Stock Is Plummeting Today,” Apr. 4. For more billionaire FAFO porn see also “Trump's tariffs obliterate $208B in billionaire wealth,” Apr. 5).
Way back in 2009, the pseudo-intellectual Thiel wrote, “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible.” By “freedom,” of course, Thiel meant the freedom of rich guys like himself to do as they please while “the little people” keep their mouths shut and do as they’re told. Since democracy gets in the way of his “freedom,” according to Thiel, democracy has to go.
These greedy, sociopathic bastards were happy to help put convicted criminal and would-be dictator Donald Trump back in the White House, thinking that it would benefit them and that only “the little people” would be hurt. They knew that ordinary Americans would be hurt if Trump returned to power: They knew that civil liberties, democratic rights, and much-needed government services for “the little people” would come under attack in any second Trump administration, and they didn’t care. All they cared about was their own profit and power.
Ordinary Americans don’t deserve the pain they’re getting from the second Trump administration. Well, maybe Trump voters deserve it, just a little bit. But these sociopathic, Trump-backing billionaires definitely do deserve all of the pain they’re getting, and I hope that they get a whole lot more. I hope to watch them roast and scream in a Hell of their own making.
