The Role of Market Monopoly Capitalism, and Millions Demonstrate Across America Against Trumpism [1]

The excesses of monopoly driven market capitalism certainly played a role in creating the conditions and mega-$$$-monied oligarchs leading the charge behind the rise of American fascism. It is nothing less today than a complete government take over and power grab being attempted by the mega wealthy oligarch class that has been created, financed and empowered in large measure by a corrupted Supreme Court and now a Republican controlled Congress.
Amoral Becomes Immoral

Market monopoly capitalism is an amoral system. One that can easily become immoral. It’s primary purpose is to accumulate wealth and surplus profit for the benefit of it’s owner classes. It does not require paying a living wage to its workers which the latter generated and helped produce America’s great wealth.
In fact, before the end of the 1930s, most workers lived in humble to squalid conditions on extremely low salaries, with few safely and health protections.
At one time, unions were anathema to most in the upper capitalist classes. Perhaps to many of them, unions still are a dirty word. In the past unionizing attempts were often brutally and violently broken. Most companies today still oppose unions.
100 Years of Struggle
100,000 demonstrated on April 5th, 2025 in Washington D.C. against the Trump administration.
It took nearly 100 years of struggle to establish the rights unions won and were signed into law by FDR. It took much longer for Black Americans to win voting and other Civil rights, with parity to whites economically still far from being achieved.
Conditions Ripe for Fascism
Market monopoly capitalism has created conditions that have markedly increased the risks for factors giving birth to fascist movements. All it takes is for the wrong characters like Trump to worm their way into power.
Briefly, some of the main factors include:
The creation of super wealthy individuals and mega large corporations has had an increasing influence on policy and law making, in essence “buying” legislative influence in government leading to the actual purchase of government. Increasing financial corruption, which now runs rampant and has corrupted both the Congress and even the Judiciary and Supreme Court, with the latter making numerous and substantial pro business, anti-civil and human rights and misogynist rulings. Super rich oligarchs, through their influence in the Republican Party, have ratcheted up patriarchal authoritarian appeals as they also pander to the many classic biases as listed in #2, which are the very foundations for building fascist sentiment among the masses.
Oligarchs Intentions
Trump and Musk.
The intentions of the oligarch class today are clear, made by their support of Trump, which is to return us to days when rich folks controlled and ruled over the working classes, suppressed unions with an iron thumb and could virtually turn their dictates into the law of the land.
