So....it's been quite a weekend. Lots of golfing...lots of protesting, and yes, even more golfing. And let's not forget how much money has been lost and will be lost. Also....the penguins. It's a dark time to be a penguin with a portfolio.
What I can't wait to see is how nimbly Karoline Leavitt dances around all the questions that will surely be lobbed at her on Monday. Yes, Karoline Leavitt....the White House Press Secretary. The Karoline Leavitt who's 51 years younger than Donald Trump and who's married to a man older than JD Vance. Those fun facts aside, we all know she's going to be doing a significant amount of lying on Monday. Even more significant than usual. She will probably dip into the Sean Spicer playbook in order to downplay the crowd sizes all over the country this weekend. She will most certainly contort herself into a pretzel explaining how the tariffs have already contributed to the latest jobs report from last week. And she will be frustrated again, hopefully, by Kaitlin Collins.
It will surely be a master class in utter nonsense. It's inevitable, it's nauseating, it's tiring. But this is our new reality....and this is why the protests of this weekend need to continue and grow, and keep growing. It may be our only hope.
