Trump reads the New York Post telling him it's World War Fee [1]

Trump was captured through the window of "The Beast" as he arrived at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida, this morning, reading a newspaper.

The top headline is small that says World War Fee. The much bigger headline below is "China: Yeah?," with a picture of Xi Jinping.

This was the cover of the New York Post on Thursday:

I don't think that anyone would steal the New York Post headline as their own. The page showing is in black and white, and doesn't resemble the cover. Trump has the newspaper open, so that's an inside page, usually black and white, in the New York Post.

The timing is interesting because he may have read this before doing this morning's Truth Social post.

My timing is Pacific, so the post is 8:34 am ET.

It starts out about China, then rambles on, trying to deflect on his self-induced stock market crash with investments that are not going to happen now. $6 trillion lost on the stock market in two days vs. 5 trillion in investments, if they were to happen, over 4 to 10 years. The math is about as good as that ridiculous formula Peter Navarro came up with.

But, I thought that the fact that Trump reads the New York Post himself for his source of information is telling. A New York Post brain is what we've got for President. Not the New York Times. Not the Washington Post. Not the Wall Street Journal. The New York Post.

I hate to say it, but the NY Post had it right, while being funny. Trump's tariffs are "World War Fee." The question is whether Trump read the article that shot down the principle of his tariff plans?

The online version of the Post does not match the printed paper, so I can't report on the actual article.

The accuracy of news is always consider the source. This time we need to consider the consumer of said news as well.

Did Trump read what tariffs really are and not understand it?

It doesn't really matter because Trump thinks he's always right, when he's always wrong.
