Hands Off rally in Albuquerque - a photo diary [1]

The Hands Off rally in Albuquerque was surprisingly (or perhaps not so surprisingly) well-attended: it did not fit in the Civic Plaza and filled up the adjacent streets. I’ve never seen so many people attend an event in the Albuquerque downtown. And this was just one of four such events across New Mexico today (that I know of) — there were rallies in Santa Fe, Taos, and Los Lunas. More photos below the cut.

The rally is still going strong, lots of interesting speakers from the local arts community, tribal communities, and so on.

Oh, any pictures with close-ups of people in them were taken with permission.

I tried the fisheye lens — the crowd still won’t fit.
