Yes, the tariffs are working to the plan, a long-term one [1]

People think the current regime’s tariffs are just crazy. But maybe the Very Stable Genius (V.S.G.) and his advisors have a plan, and they intend to Make America Great Again with the tariffs as just one step. Maybe they’re playing the long game, to re-industrialize America and make it more, well, economically self-sufficient. It could go like this:
First, the tariffs take effect. That hurts trade. It raises prices. It causes people to lose jobs in industries that depend on trade either for customers or supplies. And the stock market will fall, creating bargain opportunities to own a share of American business. So people may think that it’s failing, because tariffs were imposed quickly and it takes a long time to re-industrialize. But the V.S.G. and his men are patient.
The idea of tariffs, after all, is to get businesses to invest in manufacturing in America. Now some economists, especially the pointy-headed ones who went to those DEI-riddled liberal universities, complain that investors won’t show up unless the tariffs are stable, unlike earlier ones. And since the tariffs are causing stagflation, the weak among America are hoping the V.S.G. will back down. But he’s got a plan. After a year or so, even with America in a deep recession, companies will realize that the tariffs are not going away, so they’ll start to look at investment. And with deregulation, factories will be better than ever. Beautiful smoke you can see for miles! That’s what they’ll promise.
The midterm elections are due in 2026, and sure, the recession and inflation may overcome the major tightening of election laws that are being executed to keep the riff-raff from voting, and so V.S.G.’s party may still lose the House. But that doesn’t really matter because he doesn’t need Congress any more. They can’t pass laws to rein him in because he’d veto them. And he can impound money and move it between agencies as he wishes, because he’s Making America Great Again and any laws to control how the money is spent don’t apply to him. He is the law, after all. Businesses will by then be looking for factory locations or old factories to rebuild.
Then by 2028 the election security measures and extra-secure voting procedures will have made voting against him even more difficult, and he will have taken more control of the courts with people who know that only he can win, and that pesky amendment about not more than two terms will be set aside by the courts because he’s Making America Great Again and the 22nd was only meant to apply to Democrats. So as he already said, it’s not necessary to vote again. Investors will of course be pleased; they know that the tariffs will stay in place because he will stay in place. He’s extremely healthy, after all, and his age doesn’t really show at all.
So after 4-6 years in office those factories will finally be up and running. The minimum wage will still be $7.25 and inflation will make that worth about half what it is now, but American citizens will gladly take it because they will have no better choice. They will be free, though, and won’t have much tax to pay if they win the SuperZillions lottery! And that’s what matters to so many good Americans. And the stock market will rise, the Dow maybe going above 20,000 again!
See? It’s not daft at all. It’s a plan for a long-term industrial self-sufficient society run by only the very best non-DEI people. And its isolation from the world economy even has a name the V.S.G.’s buddy Kim will teach him, juche. How can it fail?
