The Little Match Girl: America's New Role Model? [1]

Some fairy tales are not for kids by today’s standards. The one that disturbed me the most as a child was The Little Match Girl . If you’ve never heard it, here’s a short summary:
A little girl wanders barefoot in the snow on New Year’s Eve, trying to sell matches. Her father will beat her if she comes home without a penny. She ducks into an alley and lights a match to keep warm, and in its light she sees a vision of her late grandmother. Eventually she lights all the matches then freezes to death. The moral(?) of the story is that her grandmother guides her to heaven where they will be happy together forever.
Ouch! I can’t even! It’s painful to remember how badly this story traumatized me when I first read it. And now, dear friends, we are seeing it come true in The Land Of The Freezing.
They want us to die and be grateful for it! Hopefully die without heirs, so what little money we might have had left goes to them! In the immortal words of Graham Nash: “In a land that's known as freedom how can such a thing be fair?”
I’ll tell you how. There is a new pandemic that started on Inauguration Day called the “You’re Fired Flu”. The two word condensation of a certain evil, thieving, raping person’s life is and shall forever be “You’re Fired!”, uttered with all the contempt that only a soulless demon can deliver.
If it wasn’t insane enough that such a corrupt and corrupting influence has taken the wheel of our overpriced clown-car democracy, his mantra has spread to many of the newly minted most powerful people in government like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Elon Musk who are even more powerful than he-who-must-not-be-named by virtue of not having been elected and thus cannot be impeached or voted out.
They’ve got a nasty case of the You’re Fired Flu, but unfortunately they are not taking the day off of work. Nope, they are working overtime (even if their boss isn’t) kicking Americans in the breadbasket while they lay panting on the floor. Woe to the republic!
We need to give Lady Liberty a hand, stand her up and feed her a hot meal before the last match burns out. Grandma will thank us for it, wherever she is.
