DOGE: Let Climate Observatory lease Expire [1]

In 1956 the Mauna Loa Climate Observatory was founded. en.wikipedia.org/… It’s in the middle of the pacific ocean on Hawaii records the Co2 level. Charles Keeling started recording the Co2 level. Since it’s started recording the Co2 level has been about 315 parts per million (PPM) and now it’s 422 PPM. That’s a 33% increase.

The DOGE team wants to let that lease expire in August. This may save a few million dollars. The New York Times article doesn’t get into that. They just say that several thousand National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will be terminated. They don’t want to know and monitor how bad the Golabl Warming Climate Disaster it’s getting. Hiding the inormation won’t make it go away. www.nytimes.com/…
