65,000 NC voters could have their votes thrown out in 2 weeks [1]

In the ongoing saga of litigating last year’s judicial election he lost lost fair and square to incumbent Allison Riggs, NC Court of Appeals judge Jefferson Griffin got a big boost when a three judge panel from the NC Court of Appeals voted (in a 2-to-1 decision) that 65,000 voters must prove their identity to the NC State Board of Elections in 15 days or risk having their votes unfairly thrown out.
This isn’t the end of this story and it’s highly likely the case will be decided in federal court when all is said and done. If you know anyone who is on the Griffin List, contact them and let them know ASAP. Don’t let the GOP steal this election.
EDIT: The 15 day notice does not go into effect until all appeals are exhausted (ie turned down by the NC Supreme Court) so there is a buffer window. If you are on the Griffin List, you can easily update your voter registration now here per the NCSBE’s official website. Don’t wait until the 15 day notice starts.
