The problem with a Sick, Sycophant-loving President
A catastrophe in the Making
Trump famously stiffed his creditors his entire life. The mindset of someone who thinks everyone is out to cheat him while he cheats everyone is now in the presidency. Apparently, tariffs are the only core belief Trump has—but we must understand why. This paranoid projection that everyone is a cheater (while in reality it’s just him) has driven his whole life and career.
Combine that with sycophantic fools who constantly flatter him and say he’s God’s chosen one and you have a recipe for disaster. And to be fair, Trump did win when any sane person would tell you he should have lost. So, thus, you have today. Not content with destroying the American government or even the United States itself, Trump is scrambling to destroy the world. He has a good chance of succeeding. As Rick Wilson famously said, Everything Trump Touches Dies.
Convinced that he alone has the truth, despite—surely what even his own advisors have tried to convince him—he believes he’s right. Famously while moving forward with ambiguity on many policies and proposals (because he really doesn’t know what he believes) that allowed him to backtrack, he finally exposes his cards. It will be much more difficult for him to say this time ‘just kidding.’
The market and the world are not amused. Expect catastrophic market losses, inflation and a recession and quite possibly a depression.
