April 5th is Hands Off! and Tesla Takedown Day [1]

It's going to be hard to decide which protest to go to.
Hands Off! was created because:
"Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. They're taking everything they can get their hands on, and daring the world to stop them. On Saturday, April 5th, we're taking to the streets nationwide to fight back with a clear message: Hands Off!"
Organizers include: ThirdAct.org,
Indivisible.org,
MoveOn.org and many others.
It's literally about Trump and Musk keeping their Hands Off! of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, slashing services and destroying service agencies, imposing tariffs and whatever else fits.
A Hands Off! spokesperson told Newsweek that as of March 27th, more than 600 events were planned across all 50 states. Canada must be feeling left out. They can still do Tesla TakeDowns, which they did last Saturday.
Events will range from rallies and protests, to teach-ins, digital actions and community gatherings. Some locations will feature marches, public demonstrations and high profile speakers from impacted communities.
A list of Hands Off! organizations partnering with them is here. It's substantial.
For printing picket signs, posters and banners there is a 325mb download for all (download page), or you can download just the ones you want. Many have Spanish versions. There are also templates and individual graphics.
"This is a nationwide mobilization to stop the most brazen power grab in modern history. Trump, Musk and their billionaire cronies, are orchestrating an all-out assault on our government, our economy, and our basic rights --- enabled by Congress every step of the way."
A man from the Washington DC area said, "Fascism is a spiritual movement with the declared aim of separating from reality and constructing an alternative reality through propaganda that over time becomes the new reality. Like communism, fascism is a perpetually transitional state; and like communism, it is founded on lies. Truth is forever the enemy of despotic regimes."
One last word from Hands Off!;
"A core principle behind hands off is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values."
For the April 5th Tesla Takedown, there's ActionNetwork.org. There were ones scheduled yesterday and ones today and Friday as well as the most scheduled Saturday. Then I looked at the full list, and there are ones scheduled already up to May 3rd on all days of the week besides Saturday.
Organizers like Indivisible.org are doing both Hands Off! and Tesla TakeDowns.
You can find more just by a Google search for April 5th Tesla TakeDown and find other organizations behind them and ones happening in your community.
People are rising up just like Peter Finch told them in "Network" to open up their windows, stick their heads out and yell, "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
This reminds me of the Vietnam War protests. But social media didn't exist then. There was only radio, TV and phones, and the only person to person was phones, and long distance cost more. This is all so much easier.
Trump and Musk were upset at the Tesla TakeDowns. This weekend will be even greater yet.
