Russia to Help Musk. No Conflict of Interest Here. [1]

Russia has proposed to help the Musk Mars expedition with a small modular reactor.

Frankly, I am all for small modular reactors as soon as they have passed all safety requirements. We need the clean energy to lead the world in the fight against climate change.
That said, the U.S. supposedly will not let any foreign country have control of any nuclear operation in the U.S...unless, possibly, they have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to the MAGA team.
Now, if I am not misreading history, the U.S. was supplying weapons to fight Russian aggression as recently as...well, this is not quite clear now. Prior to January, the U.S. was all in on this effort. Now, it is not so clear what side of this war we are on. By, “We,” I mean the Trump administration.
At least we can count on the Musk DOGE team to be totally objective, with only the best interest of the American people, as he ramsacks the Federal government. How could anyone accuse that man of ulterior motives? He obviously does not need the money. Possibly, though, he is jealous of the fictional Dr. Mark Watson as the man who colonized Mars. Possibly, when you have everything money can buy, all you really want is immortality.
Possibly, we do not need someone influenced by a foreign adversary with control of major levers of power within the U.S. government. Only time will tell how this will all work out. That said, it will be our efforts to make sure it turns out well.
