This isn’t the only outlet reporting but Musk has indicated he’ll reach his objectives with DOGE by the end of May and move on.
Trump himself was asked what would happen to the DOGE workers afterwards. He said “I can say this, that a lot of the people working with DOGE are the Secretaries, the heads of various agencies, and they’ve learned a lot. They are working with the DOGE people. I think some of them may try and keep the DOGE people with them but you know at some point I think it will end.”
Keep in mind just a week ago the reporting was that this project would continue with him in the lead well into 2026.
Reread those quotes—really do yourself a favor—savor it.
He can still do a lot of damage and I won’t believe he gave up this power until it happens. This could be a ruse. And even without Musk DOGE may still be a threat. The election meddling is still a tremendous threat and real and present danger.
But that he is even HINTING this, wow! Krasnov is suggesting DOGE may fade away afterwards! These are very positive—even if not definitive, signs.
Also, regardless the pressure needs to continue to ensure he goes, to ensure he is permanently weakened so he is no longer a threat, and to act as a warning to the other billionaires.
