Deported Back To Russia? [1]

I haven’t seen this reported here yet but the story originated three days ago. I have to be brief as I’m really busy today, but a Russian scientist who fled because she’d criticised the invasion of Ukraine. Where did she flee to…..the U.S. But now’s she’s facing deportation BACK to Russia because of a mistake which would normally result in a $500 fine.

I imagine the maladministration will claim it’s “getting tough” and “cracking down hard”, but what I see is unnecessary cruelty and pandering to a cowardly dictator who brooks no dissent. It’s a pretty safe bet her life would be worth nothing if she were returned.
