Just the Facts, Man: Weekly Canvass Wrap up from AZ, FL, GA, NV, NC, TX & VA [1]

Arizona
In Arizona, 288 volunteers came out to knock on doors on Saturday. We knocked on 20,851 doors and talked to 1,699 voters. 1,087 of those voters answered at least some of the questions on our Issues Survey. We registered 7 new voters and re-registered 58 voters.
Inflation was the Number 1 issue for the Arizonans we talked to. Housing Availability, Costs and Housing Insurance Costs was second and Concerns over Tariffs was third. 5% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the federal government. 44% disapproved. 15% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing. 44% disapproved. There is no senate race next year in Arizona, but we are asking about job approval for the Republican Members of Congress in these 2 districts. 5% approved and 34% disapproved. 48% approved of the job Gov. Hobbs is doing while 5% disapproved. 147 Arizonians filled out Constituent Service Requests. 4 voters filled out an Incident Report. Florida
This Tuesday is the special election in FL-06, so we knocked on doors every day this week. GOTV baby!
264 volunteers came out last Saturday and 99 on Sunday. On Monday, 54 volunteers showed up for GOTV canvassing. Tuesday saw 67 volunteers, 59 came out on Wednesday. 71 volunteers showed up on Thursday and 41 came out yesterday. On Monday, we talked to 172 voters who hadn’t voted yet and transported 69 of them to their Early Voting center. On Tuesday, we talked to 248 voters and got 103 of them to go vote using our volunteers. On Wednesday, we talked to 201 voters and took 79 of them to vote. On Thursday, we meet up with 287 voters and transported 99 of them.
Last Saturday, we knocked on 19,720 doors and talked to 1,666 voters in northern Volusia and southern Flagler counties. 1,083 voters responded to questions. 137 voters filled out Constituent Service Requests. 2 voters filled out Incident Reports, citing potential problems they had witnessed in a prior election.
The Top Issue in Florida last Saturday was Housing Availability, Costs and Housing Insurance Costs; The Economy was the Number 1 issue on Sunday. Inflation was #2 on Saturday and Housing Concerns was the second most frequently cited Issue on Sunday. On Saturday, Budget Cuts (!) was third.
On Saturday, 8% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts and on Sunday, 13% said they approved. 41% disapproved on Saturday and 40% disapproved on Sunday. On Saturday, 18% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing; 17% approved on Sunday. 38% disapproved on Saturday and 41% on Sunday.
We ask voters if they plan to vote in the special and a number say they are planning on it. We’ve been asking those who said they did if they had a plan on how/when they will vote. More people than we expect to turn out say they will vote, which we expect to have a low turnout. Regardless, we ask those who say they will vote in the special who they plan to support. On Saturday, 37% of the voters who said they planned to vote in the special election said they’d support the Democrat. Many of these did not know who the Democrat was (Josh Weil), but they knew they would vote for the D. On Sunday, 34% said they would vote for Weil.
On Saturday, 21% of the voters who said they planned to vote in the special said they would vote for MAGA Randy Fine. On Sunday, 23% said they would vote for Fine. We also ask about how voters feel about the job the governor is doing. On Saturday, 39% said they approved and 31% said they’d disapprove; on Sunday, 41% said they approved while 33% said they disapproved.
Georgia
347 volunteers came out to knock on doors last Saturday. We knocked on 25,261 doors and talked to 2,071 voters. 1,325 of those voters answered at least some of our questions.
We registered 22 new voters (as part of our Until Justice is Real project, we had our first set of Divine Nine canvassers) and re-registered 39 voters. 111 voters filled out Constituent Service Request forms. 4 voters filled out Incident Reports.
Economic Uncertainty was the Top Issue in Georgia on Saturday. Inflation was second. Housing Concerns was third.
4% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the federal government. 44% disapproved. 11% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing. 38% disapproved. 45% of voters we talked to said they approved of the job Jon Ossoff was doing in the Senate; 5% said they disapproved. 39% approved of the job Gov. Kemp is doing while 31% disapproved.
Nevada
67 volunteers came out to knock on doors in Nevada in the Las Vegas area. We knocked on 4,872 doors and volunteers talked to 399 voters. 255 of those voters answered questions.
We registered 1 new voter and re-registered 4 voters. 13 voters filled out Constituent Service Request forms.
Inflation was the Number 1 Issue in Nevada on Saturday. Housing Concerns were second. Again.
5% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the federal government. 41% disapproved. 18% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing. 41% disapproved. There is no senate race next year in Arizona, but we are asking about job approval for the Members of Congress in these districts. 24% approved and 33% disapproved. You will see that these took a dramatic turn last week. 18% approved of the job Gov. Lombardo is doing while 31% disapproved. Seems like voters in Nevada were in a sour mood.
North Carolina
259 volunteers came out to knock on doors in North Carolina. We knocked on 18,570 doors and talked to 1,522 voters. 974 of those voters answered questions from our Issues Survey.
We registered 27 new voters (primarily African-American) and re-registered 21 voters. 76 voters filled out Constituent Service Request forms. 3 voters filled out Incident Reports.
Inflation was the Number 1 Issue in North Carolina. Housing-related Issues was second. Jobs was third.
6% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the federal government. 39% disapproved. 16% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that Trump was doing. 40% disapproved. 11% approved of the job Thom Tillis was doing in the Senate; 42% disapproved. 45% approved of the job Gov. Stein is doing while 9% disapproved.
Texas
404 volunteers came out to knock on doors on Saturday in Texas. We knocked on 29,047 doors and talked to 2,352 voters. 1,498 of those voters answered at least some of our questions.
We registered 11 new voters and re-registered 3 voters. 141 voters filled out Constituent Service Request forms and 5 voters filled out Incident Reports.
Concerns about the Economy was the Top Issue in Texas last weekend. Housing Issues was second and Border Access was third.
13% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the federal government. 39% disapproved. 18% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that 41% disapproved. 5% approved of the job John Cornyn was doing in the Senate; 45% disapproved. 11% approved of the job Gov. Abbott is doing while 44% disapproved.
Virginia
106 volunteers came out to knock on doors on Saturday in southern Virginia. We knocked on 7,706 doors and talked to 616 voters. 400 of those voters answered at least some of our questions.
We re-registered 1 voter. 28 voters filled out Constituent Service Request forms.
Inflation was the Top Issue in Virginia last weekend. Jobs was second (VA-02 is the home of Norfolk. which has a lot of federal employees). Prices was third.
2% of the voters we talked to supported DOGE and House Republican efforts to cut the federal government. 54% disapproved. 12% of the voters we talked to said they approved of the job that 45% disapproved. 55% approved of the job Mark Warner was doing in the Senate; 7% disapproved. 11% approved of the job Gov. Youngkin is doing while 41% disapproved.
