There’s a critical special election happening in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, and it hasn’t gotten nearly the attention it deserves. But make no mistake—what’s happening here matters. And with the final day to vote coming up fast on April 1, the people of Volusia and Flagler counties have a powerful opportunity to draw the line against extremism and demand real representation.
The choice in this race couldn’t be more stark.
On one side is Josh Weil, a public school teacher, father, and proud Floridian who is running a campaign rooted in service, solutions, and sanity. On the other is Randy Fine, a disgraced state representative with a long track record of cruelty, chaos, and corruption.
Fine has spent years prioritizing performative culture wars over the real needs of Floridians. He’s known for his unhinged attacks on public education, LGBTQ+ youth, Jewish leaders, and anyone who dares to disagree with him. And now, thanks to a cynical backroom deal, he’s trying to take that toxic brand of politics to Congress.
Let’s be clear: Randy Fine is not who we want representing Florida’s 6th—not now, not ever.
Josh Weil, on the other hand, is everything you’d hope for in a public servant. A math teacher with a passion for problem-solving, Josh has spent his life in the classroom helping kids succeed. He’s focused on strengthening public education, protecting clean water, expanding access to healthcare, and defending democracy.
Weil’s campaign isn’t funded by billionaires or fueled by hate. It’s powered by real people who are sick and tired of politicians who use their office to bully, blame, and grandstand.
With just days left before April 1, now is the time to act.
If you live in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, make your plan to vote now. And if you know anyone in Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Ormond Beach, or the surrounding areas, check in with them. Have they voted? Do they know what’s at stake?
Special elections are often low turnout, and that’s what extremists like Randy Fine are counting on. But we have the power to surprise them. We can show that decency still matters. That teachers, not tyrants, belong in Congress.
Josh Weil is running to serve, not to scream. He wants to build bridges, not burn them. He’s committed to making this district safer, stronger, and more united—not more divided and angry.
It’s time to turn the page.
Vote for the teacher, not the tyrant. Vote Josh Weil by April 1.
