Musings for Friday - Houthi PC Small Group. It Was a Cheerleading Chat. [1]

Fist bumps. Atta boys. Back slapping and all other sorts of cheering from the (small) group congratulating Hegseth for the job others were doing. Those congratulating Hegseth were The Secretary of State, The Director of the CIA, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Vice President.

And based upon the ease with which all the participants were commenting etc., this wasn’t their first hurrah in Signal. Earlier this week I ran across a post on another platform stating that using commercial apps that allowed for messages to disappear was part of Project 2025’s plan.( I haven’t read Project 2025 cover to cover so I can’t confirm if it’s so, but it follows with everything else that it would be.) Subverting the law by various means is part of the greater goal of Project 2025. They don’t want their ex parte communications retained.

If you haven’t read Here Are the Attack Plans That Trump’s Advisers Shared on Signal in The Atlantic, you should. DK won’t let me copy and paste Goldberg’s screen captures of the conversation here.

From the article;

The statements by Hegseth, Gabbard, Ratcliffe, and Trump—combined with the assertions made by numerous administration officials that we are lying about the content of the Signal texts—have led us to believe that people should see the texts in order to reach their own conclusions. There is a clear public interest in disclosing the sort of information that Trump advisers included in nonsecure communications channels, especially because senior administration figures are attempting to downplay the significance of the messages that were shared. Experts have repeatedly told us that use of a Signal chat for such sensitive discussions poses a threat to national security. As a case in point, Goldberg received information on the attacks two hours before the scheduled start of the bombing of Houthi positions. If this information—particularly the exact times American aircraft were taking off for Yemen—had fallen into the wrong hands in that crucial two-hour period, American pilots and other American personnel could have been exposed to even greater danger than they ordinarily would face. The Trump administration is arguing that the military information contained in these texts was not classified—as it typically would.

I’ll let others more qualified to continue to break down how many laws they broke having this conversation on a commercial non secured texting app on their personal phones in various non secured locations. I have read numerous statements or seen videos from veterans about how the Secretary of Defense exposed in real time the operation and thus putting pilots lives at risk.

All of that so that they could cheer each other on. I wouldn’t be surprised if Miss Rendition USA hasn’t been on quite a few of these chats, along with her buddy Sheriff Bubba Homan. And Heir Reich Minister Mueller is probably right there on all of them.

My cynical side has me asking whether or not some other “journalist” has inadvertently been added to one of these conversations? And if so, why didn’t they tell us in near time via their format? Were they waiting to tell us in a book two years from now, which has been the recent practice of some journalist?
