Trump rewrites history in a Proclamation (this is serious) [1]

Every day, I am appalled at what I find on Whitehouse.gov. Today, I found a fact sheet up about an executive order that isn't there yet. They put the fact sheet up first.
"Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Restores Truth and Sanity to American History."
Just reading that sent a chill up and down my spine. It's exactly as bad as you think it is. He's going to do it by "... revitalizing key cultural institutions and reversing the spread of divisive ideology."
First, he praises the Smithsonian. But second, he says that the Vice President, who is automatically a member of the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian, will:
"... eliminate improper, divisive, or anti-American ideology from the Smithsonian and its museums, education and research centers, and the National Zoo."
He starts with DEI. You know that's what he means by divisive anti-American ideology. And knowing his rattled brain going after the museum and education and research centers makes sense, to him anyway.
But the National Zoo? I think he's going after partheogenesis. That's when an embryo develops from an unfertilized egg. He's attacking trans animals, or what he thinks are trans animals. I can just see somebody explaining the principle to him, his furrowed brow, and then him saying, "Let's get rid of that!"
"The Order directs the Administration to work with Congress to ensure that future Smithsonian appropriations, 1. Prohibit funding for exhibits or programs that degrade shared American values, divide Americans by race, or promote ideologies inconsistent with federal law, and 2. Celebrate women's achievements in the American Women's History Museum and do not recognize men as women."
Once again, Trump wields the power of the purse. The administration is doing the work of Congress, and Congress is just a rubber stamp. It's obvious that's what they've become.
Now that Trump has made DEI illegal, it's the same as federal law. He's made his executive orders the equal of legislation passed by Congress.
But that's not all. He has to go out of his way to keep up with his outlawing of trans people and disclaiming their existence.
"This Order also directs the Secretary of the Interior restore Federal parks, monuments, memorials, statues, markers, or similar properties that have been improperly removed or changed in the last five years to perpetuate a false revision of history or minimize or disparage certain historical figures or events."
All the Confederate stuff goes back up. If it's been destroyed, it has to be replaced with new statues or monuments or markers. Don't tell me I'm making this up. This is exactly what Trump has in mind. Everything that Biden did, has to be undone. This is just one effort of hundreds more to come.
In preparation for the United States 250th anniversary, the Secretary of the Interior must finish improvements and restorations at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. I'm not even sure what that one means. But it sounds ominous.
"The prior administration pushed a divisive ideology that reconstrued America's promotion of liberty as fundamentally flawed, infecting revered institutions like the Smithsonian and national parks with falses narratives."
"Promotion of liberty." The Civil War was a fight for state rights. It had nothing to do with slavery. Think I'm making this up? Ask Nikki Haley.
"...Biden Administration... taught Park Rangers that their racial identity should dictate how they present history to visitors."
Minorities not only need not apply, they can't talk about themselves or any other minority. I'd like to find out what Trump thinks about Native Americans. We didn't just massacre them and take away their land, we put them on reservations and made them happy.
"The American Art Museum currently features an exhibit that purports to address how 'sculpture has been a powerful tool in promoting scientific racism' and claims that the United States has used race to establish and maintain systems of power, privilege, and disenfranchisement."
Uh, oh. White people are feeling discomfort at being told the truth. Actually it's just Trump and his administration and MAGA. We all know the real history, they just want to sweep it under the rug. It's inconvenient. An inconvenient truth.
"The American Women's History Museum plans to celebrate male athletes participating in women's sports."
"Plans to." The radical right has been talking about this since 2023. I can't find anything where it ever was talked about by the Smithsonian itself. It's only the New York Post, the Washington Examiner and other non-reliable sources. I tried looking for a good amount of time, and Trump is just making it up. He's believing the New York Post.
The executive order still isn't up.
Trump is doing exactly what we've accused him of trying to do in the past. He's trying to rewrite history. He's already done it with January 6th. There are already way too many people that think it was a guided tour instead of an insurrection. They're talking now about giving those poor January 6th hostages reparations, as though they deserve something for being criminals. The fact that many of the January 6th convicts have now committed crimes since Trump's pardon, and trying to use the pardon to excuse their new crimes, doesn't turn on any light bulbs.
Trump's executive order, whenever he bothers to put it up, will spell out in more detail than his fact sheet. It's going to be even worse to read.
Trump is trying to take everything away from us, even real history. That's what autocrats do. That's what dictators do. That's what fascists do.
He needs to be stopped.

UPDATE:
It's not an Executive Order. It's a Proclamation. RESTORING TRUTH AND SANITY TO AMERICAN HISTORY.
He says "it is hereby ordered..." and calls it an order in the Section 5 disclaimer. But it's not an Executive Order like it says in the Fact Sheet. It's a Proclamation.
There is some more information than in the Fact Sheet factoids, but it's the same as I've gone over here.
Also, the Executive Orders section is now missing 4 or more pages of listings. There is one EO from January 20th when he signed a lot, then Feb.14th, then March 20th and current ones. If you go to Presidential Actions, they all show up.
