Why is a Georgia State Senator going to be Treasurer of the United States? [1]

Why is a nobody State Senator from Geogia named Brandon Beach becoming the Treasurer of the United States? Because he was involved in the attempts to overturn the 2020 election. Lt. Gov Geoff Duncan removed him from the chairmanship of the state transportation committee for that reason.
He'll be overseeing the US Mint and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Trump is probably working on getting himself on US currency even though it's reserved for dead people. I wouldn't have any problem if he fulfilled that obligation immediately.
The Treasurer also an important liaison with the Federal Reserve. Republicans want to get rid of the Federal Reserve. There are bills in both the Senate and the House to abolish the Federal Reserve. No replacement, just get rid of it.
He's also in control of Fort Knox. You've heard of that. We haven't heard anything about Elon Musk's visit that was planned to Fort Knox. The Pentagon visit seemed to make that go away. Prior to Musk's Pentagon visit, Scott Bessent, the Secretary of the Treasury, confirmed that the gold was there.
There's been talk about using the gold at Fort Knox to go and buy Bitcoin. The trick is to take the the gold that is currently valued at $42.22 an ounce by statute and revalue it to its current value of $3,000 an ounce. All of a sudden your gold is worth $781 billion dollars instead of $11 billion.
The money handling of the Trump administration has gotten so complicated it's tough to keep up with it. First he stopped giving money to agencies and withholding funds for contracts and grants. He turned the General Services Administration into the only purchasing arm of the United states. He just took the General Fund of the United States that handles all the money going in and out of the Treasury and made the Treasury the sole agent to be able to do so, with verification of every single transaction, second guessing the agencies that used to hand it out. He's already made sure that everybody knows that government is going to get into cryptocurrency in a big way with a Bitcoin Repository. There's talk of using the revalued gold to allow that to happen.
So where does the son of a Beach fit into it?
Who knows? It's payback for supporting Trump's lies about the 2020 election. Trump directs everybody to obey his orders, so whatever the Treasurer can do, he will. I'm just going to make a wild guess, without anything to back it up, that Trump wants to have the Bureau of Engraving make up a printing plate for a piece of currency with his picture on it that won't be legal, but he can pass it out to people.
He's that vain.
