Here's some food for thought:

Last autumn, Germany fired their Chancellor and Bundestag (i.e. president and Congress in USA) because they weren't doing what they were elected to do, which was to represent the best interests of the people who elected them. Germany held a special election in February to replace those positions.

The only mention I saw of this election in USA media was that Germany had held their elections, implying that it was a regularly scheduled one. I'm curious what explanations people could offer for that deliberately inaccurate report. Why?

I'll go first - Americans have it blow up our asses from the first day of kindergarten that the country is a democracy. That has always - well, during my lifetime - been the rallying cry of every single politician, regardless of their political affiliation or the office they're seeking. Bernie Sanders has been talking about democracy for decades. BUT, what if the country knew that Germany had sacked their government? What if people knew that in a democracy they would be the ones in control, not the public servants they elected?

That's my speculation as to why you guys weren't told. Not everyone in the country is a mentally damaged idiot, and I suspect strongly that the billionaires in charge of the American media know this to be true. I think you weren't told because people in high places, and/or money hoarders, were afraid that would be the point at which people said "enough" and did something about it.
