It's clear from the Signal mishap that it is indeed amateur hour within the government. It's not really partisan to say so, these are amateurs. Pete Hegseth had a very thin resume, and I suppose he got the job because Trump liked his presence on TV and he was once in the army. JD Vance was a first-term US Senator from Ohio. He's only 40 years old. He's as old as the first Beverly Hills Cop. I could sort of pick up on his adolescent group chat badmouthing of "the Europeans." Other than his six months in the military in Iraq, how much time has this kid spent outside of his narrow world? One might think that before you open your mouth, you might actually know what you are talking about.
Vance also served as a military journalist. It's not like he lost a limb in the Ardennes Offensive and is wary about bailing out "the Europeans" again. He personally has done nothing for "the Europeans." Instead, I see a sort of graying man-boy looking to score points with his elders. After reviewing Hegseth, Vance, Waltz, and Witkoff, one has to wonder does anyone have a brain. Rubio, but he's hiding it. Instead, decision making is being done by American flag and flexed arm emojis.
I don't think anyone is going to resign, though I hope I am proved wrong. But you can bet those Chinese and Russians have read every last confidential thing they shared. The ship of state is leaking stupidity.
