Great Britain Should Step into the Void of the Political Prisoners [1]

The 1951, convention for the status of Refugees outlines the Rights of Refugees and the responsibility of Nations that signed that Treaty. Great Britain, being a signatory, has standing to bring it back before the UN. In 1967, the 1951 convention was given a new protocol. The newly ratified charter removed the geographical implications and time limits broadening its applicability.
The U.N.H.C.R. General Assembly - The UN Refugee Agency stands as the “Guardian” of the 1967 protocol giving governments the jurisdiction it needs to enforce it. Further, the scope of this inquiry would be to determine if their Refugee status has been converted into that of “Political Prisoner’s.” If it found that their status has changed from Refugee to that of prisoner, they would now fall under the “ General Assembly Resolution 2200A (1966). Article 9 states, “Anyone who is arrested shall be informed at the time of their arrest of the reasons for their arrest and shall be promptly informed of any charges against them.” Id.
If El Salvador is found to be violating this law, Great Britain and other’s should use all necessary force to make them comply. Compliance would be turning over all prisoner’s sent to their country by the Trump Regime. Whereby, they can be given a trial in the international court of law.
