Notice of a Pattern [1]

The topic of meme based information has been long discussed for quite some time.
We all know the conservatives/ magas/ republicans - whatever the hell they are - don’t do nuance. They create memes that are lies, false, or at least misleading.
The first problem we face is that it works. We’ve all encountered somebody who spouts the exact same “talking points” that were derived from a meme that is clearly not true.
The second problem is that we do, however, do nuance. We explain why - in detail.
In my social circle of in person and online interactions - the rebuttal can’t possibly be in a sentence.
When “our side” produces information and commentary about daily events that are destroying our institutions and our democracy it is usually paragraphs upon paragraphs upon paragraphs. There is no chance the people who need to read them will. Hell, half the time I don’t because it’s so damn long.
Solution - we are losing the information battle. Let’s be honest - what is happening is like 85/15 on our side if everyone knew what is happening. We need to play the same game they do. But with facts and witty short pieces of information.
We are logical and nuanced it’s to our detriment in the communication space with low information citizens. We are fighting an uphill battle against the propaganda machine that has been created. We need to change our rules of engagement.
Am I off base with my assessment? Do we need to change tactics? If so - how?
