Gabbard Should Also Be Fired [1]

While the Trump administration decides who to throw under what bus in its current national security fiasco, no one should overlook Tulsi Gabbard.

She is the Director of National Intelligence, and obviously clueless about how unqualified she is to hold that position.

She was on the email chain that disclosed details about an impending attack on America’s enemies.

A real Director of National Intelligence would have instantly realized that this involved National Intelligence and required immediate action by the director, herself. She did nothing.

While Hegseth deserves a ton of blame, Gabbard deserves no less.

New York’s Port Authority bus terminal has a lot of buses, but maybe not enough to deal adequately with this situation.

Think of what we have here. Or better yet, what the Chinese army has.

An important national security disclosure in three versions.

First, there are the messages exchanged by the pretend Cabinet members on Signal, a commercial encryption package available on many phones. Beyond that, the Chinese now have the plain text of those messages. And finally, the Chinese coding analysts have the fully encrypted version of the message from U.S. communications to our troops.

The Chinese can line up these three versions of the message to better understand U.S. encryption. In addition to the messages themselves, the Chinese army is also blessed with much hacking experience, many powerful computers, virtually unlimited human resources and unlimited time.

It is impossible to know how much the Chinese will actually get from this breech, but it’s mana from heaven as far as they are concerned.

Gabbard was hired for a position that was created to make the many intelligence agencies in the U.S. work together. Is there anyone on earth who believes that is in her skill set?

If she knew anything about her business, she would have bolted into action when Hegseth’s chat started on Signal. The fact she has taken no action to this point indicates she is clueless or worse.

I’m sure many are writing about the risks of having a drunken lazy ex-major in charge of the Pentagon, and I’ll leave that part of the story to them.
