Hi Kos community, I was out of circulation for about 10 days with a cold. Now I’m back. lf you are writing to your Congressperson and need an assist, please feel free to use the following as a boilerplate. It's part of a note I sent to my Republican Representative this morning, March 23.
"Dear [----]:
In the weeks since Inauguration Day, the courts have overwhelmingly decided against the President’s executive over-reach in an ever growing list of cases, plain evidence continues to reveal Elon Musk and his DOGE team as the opposite of “responsible governance,” and the President has wrecked long standing alliances in favor of Russia.
At some point Congress must take action to support the federal judiciary in its efforts to correct the excesses of the Trump administration, especially when Trump himself, and several of his appointees, have all but declared that judicial oversight of the executive branch is illegitimate.
Nothing that the President has done so far has motivated the Republican majority in Congress to exercise its authority under the Constitution and restore the normal conduct of business to the federal government. In that case, please let me know what, if any, further orders of the President would require Congress to take action.
