Trump Claims Not To Have Signed Alien Enemies Act Deportation Document. So Who Did? [1]

At a hearing today Judge Boasberg expressed his concern over the “in the dark” timing of the signing of Trump’s Alien Enemies Act proclamation and the almost immediate boarding of planes with hundreds of prisoners to be removed under it. The Judge indicated this suggested a deliberate, bad faith ploy to circumvent any opportunity to review what the administration was doing (which it obviously was).
Later Trump was asked about the judge’s “in the dark” concern. Trump’s bizarre response was that he didn’t sign it so he didn’t know when it was signed. He has people to handle that sort of thing.
“I don’t know when it was signed. I didn’t sign it. Other people handled it.”
Watch if for yourself. There’s no ambiguity in his denying he signed it.

That’s odd, because as reflected above, the document is certainly signed by someone. Someone with Trump’s typical grandiose flourish. Someone who swore as to when it was signed.
Trump has claimed there is a Biden autopen scandal invalidating Biden’s pardons. Now we have a document, apparently signed by Trump, that Trump says he did not sign. A critical document now at the center of an emerging Constitutional crisis.
If Trump never signed the AEA proclamation it is, by Trump’s own treatment of Biden’s issue, a nullity. “Oopsie.”
