Timidity In The Face Of Tyranny Is a Non-Starter. [1]

To clarify for those who do not know my diaries: I am a democratic socialist [PS in France] and used to being disappointed by the Democratic Party. They get my vote because I have been horrified by the Republican Party for so long, especially now.
Many people laughably believe that there will be free and fair mid-term elections once the current administration has finished breaking the government. This negates the reasons why they are doing this in the first place.
Over the years, the Republican Party has devolved into some form of swamp-dwelling spineless blob of groupthink that occasionally believes evolving a spine may seem like a good idea, only to surrender like snowflakes in the desert sun.
Watching them defend Elon Musk [unelected] has become comical, but he is so rich and a genius that he must be right. Defending a Co-Presidency with fluff is so brave.
Any individual content has been crushed out of them; the Constitution and Democracy are merely suggestions getting in the way of anointing a Tyrant. Bending the knee and pledging eternal loyalty are not signs of resistance.
I was watching Paul Dans [project 2025] defend Trump and Musk. I actually heard very little because I was distracted by his eyes. The flickered around his eyesockets, so dead that they resembled two bluebottle flies cocooned in a spider’s web on a windy day. It was extremely worrying, to say the least.
Watching the antics of an adolescent, nazi saluting chainsaw wielding near trillionaire bouncing around on stage, I found it somewhat surreal and extremely annoying.
As for Agent Orange, watching his body language when he knows his guests are not watching is bizarre because you know they will watch the news afterward. I suggest that he never play poker, which is a similar game to international diplomatic negotiations; ask your Heroes, the real Autocrats.
My little note to the Democratic party leaders
I believe you are running at around a 30% favorability rating within your own voters. Keep this up, and nothing good [for any of us] will come of it.
You must know by now [gosh, I do hope so] that give this administration an inch, they will take a mile; keep doing so, and you’ll hit the brick wall of tyranny.
It's your choice. I suggest listening to your voters. For some of you, that might seem strange, but it is advisable.
