Time for Law of the Jungle? [1]

As I read the news, I'm again reminded just how shaky The Rule of Law is in this country. The only alternative to The Rule of Law is the Law of the Jungle. So my question is how to prepare for the hypothetical advent of the Law of the Jungle in the United States.
One option is obvious, leave. Let the United States join the ranks of authoritarian states, just without you. (Hopefully the future dictators are more intelligent than Trump. Otherwise the United States will join the ranks of failed states like South Sudan.) But I have family ties to this country. Renouncing citizenship will make it far harder to see my family, etc. But it is an option.
But what can you do to prepare for the Law of the Jungle if you decide to stay in the United States? I suppose you can do what most of the citizens of Germany did in the first half of the twentieth century or what the citizens of Oceania did. Just hunker down and try to survive.
But what if you want to fight against the Law of the Jungle? The normal processes of donating to the ACLU or the Institute of Justice won't work as the court system becomes powerless. Donating to and volunteering for opposition candidates won't work when those candidates are in jail as Trump has threatened to do and as Putin and Erdoğan have done. It's not that hard to call protestors terrorists and respond militarily, as Trump wanted to do to Black Lives Matter protestors in his first term and as China did to protestors in Tiananmen Square.
So what are the options?
