Is it time to resurrect the American Labor Party? Not focusing on a hopeless Presidential campaign, but rather on the 30 to 45 most liberal house districts in the US. Convince disaffected Democratic representatives to join, or run a quality labor candidate under the ALP banner.

According to this article www.politico.com/…, the Democratic party is historically unpopular with the base. The corporate ‘center’ Democrats take liberals and labor for granted and seem to be just fine with us going away. So, my suggestion is that we accommodate them.

This would allow the remaining Democrats to move to the mushy center, where they really want to be, and might make the ALP the king-makers (or queen-makers) of a divided congress.
