Core to the Trump brand is racist (falsehood dominated) attacks on immigrants. Regrettably, the attack on “other” play well with (far too) many (far from just in the United States). Logic-based, fact-filled arguments about the value of immigrants and heart-rending stories about attacks on immigrants only seem to dent anti-immigrant feelings on the margins.
This “world around you without immigrants” from Germany video provides an alternative (TikTok worthy) way of showing people what their daily lives might be if immigrants were excluded from society. Please take a moment to watch and, if you agree, share more broadly.

McDonald’s with immigrants
This video puts daily life faces to the immigrants ‘among us’ and their integral role in our daily lives — whether we realize it or not. Rather than remote ‘other’ who might seem far away even as (such as agricultural workers) they have a real impact in our lives, this video could well prompt more reflection by many who otherwise might think of “immigration” as something distant from them.
Honestly, the Daily Kos community is not one that requires this message even in what might be a powerful form. Perhaps it already exists but, if not, the U.S. could use (many) variations of this in circulation.
PS: Something similar could occur with the Musk-Trump-DOGE-GOP aggressive campaign to wipe the “other” (supposed DEI) from history. Erasing Jackie Robinson, the 442d, Enola Gay, and so much else from U.S. government websites in a rapid, electronic media version of Stalinist cutting people’s faces out of pictures as they move from favored status to Gulag prisoner.
