CWD the cause of MAGA? [1]

As the US president leads the world into chaos, many people openly ask: is he crazy? But a lot of folk elected him, and I have to wonder: are they crazy too? What could cause so many to vote for an evident maniac? Maybe — just maybe — many of them are in the grip of a brain disease?
In a survey of US residents by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 20% said they had hunted deer or elk, and more than 60% said they had eaten venison or elk meat. Now look at the map:

It struck me how closely this map resembles the map of MAGA voters (Florida excepted. Maybe they should start testing alligators.)
In England, the practice of feeding animal remains to animals caused BSE, or “Mad Cow Disease”. The problem is that it can take 20 years to incubate that disease. Nobody knows if this deer version has already passed to humans. But it might have.
