Trump Trigger Idea [1]

Since Trump has violated the 1st Amendment rights of the Associated Press, I was reminded of a song that was a huge hit for Johnny Horton in 1959: The Battle of New Orleans. Here are the lyrics in case you don’t immediately remember the song (you can listen to it on Youtube):

In 1814 we took a little trip

Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip

We took a little bacon and we took a little beans

And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans

We fired our guns and the British kept acom'in

There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago

We fired once more and they began to runnin'

On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

We looked down the river and we seed the British come

And there must have been a hundred of'em beatin' on the drum

They stepped so high and they made their bugles ring

We stood behind our cotton bales and didn't say a thing

We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin'

There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago

We fired once more and they began to runnin'

On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Old Hickory said we could take'em by surprise

If we didn't fire our muskets till we looked'em in the eyes

We held our fire till we seed their faces well

Then we opened up our squirrel guns and gave'em...well...we...

..fired our guns and the British kept a'comin'

There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago

We fired once more and they began to runnin'

On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Yeah they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles

And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go

They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch'em

On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

We fired our cannon till the barrel melted down

So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round

We filled his head with cannonballs'n powdered his behind

And when we touched the powder off,the gator lost his mind

We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin'

There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago

We fired once more and they began to runnin'

On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Yeah they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles

And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go

They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch'em

On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Spoken:

Hut,hut,three,four

Sound off, three,four

Hut,hut, three,four

Sound off,three,four

Hut, hut, three, four

The song was recognized by the Grammy Awards (from the Wikipedia article):

In 1959 at the 2nd Annual Grammy Awards, Johnny Horton won the Grammy for Best Country & Western Performance for his recording of "The Battle Of New Orleans".[6] In 2002, the 1959 recording of the song by Horton on Columbia Records was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame

The song was written by a history teacher name Jimmy Driftwood to help teach his students about the battle (from Wikipedia article about Jimmy Driftwood):

He wrote his later famous "Battle of New Orleans" in 1936,[4] to help a high school class he was teaching become interested in the event.

You can also read about the fact that the name for the area we call ‘The Gulf of Mexico’ has been used since the 1550s (long before America as a country existed).

The history lesson is over, now how does this relate to triggering Trump? I suggest we all call every oldies station in the country (it was a crossover hit, so rock, country, and pop stations as well) to request the song be played and keep pestering them again and again. There are 2 possible outcomes of them playing it. The first possible outcome is that Trump supporting stations will either silence the ‘Gulf of Mexico’ part or possibly include the audible ‘BEEP’ to drown out the fact that the song recognized the Gulf of Mexico as the name of the area to the south of the eastern part of the US. The other possibility is that they will leave it as is. Either way is a winner. If they bleep it or silence it, it just proves how stupid this whole thing is with Trump and I think it will make people realize how petty and tyrannical he really is. Not only does it use the Gulf of Mexico as part of the refrain, it is also a patriotic war song. Both things should trigger Trump.
