When Jen Psaki calls you out... [1]

I and many others have been getting hammered here because we said that Chuck Schumer needs to step down as Minority Leader after failing to lead us against the terrible Republican CR.
I’ve had people make ad hoc arguments calling me a “Grasshopper” and snarky “well show us your protests” directed when I asked for quicker reaction to the disaster unfolding in our Country right now.
Below, I will leave a link to my Gary Seven Substack where I document our efforts here in Red State Idaho to get a message out- I am doxxing myself here for even the people above because this is too important to ignore.
I’d much rather be caring for my elderly parent- (94 yo dad and 91 yo mom) then running around to my Senators offices or standing on the steps of our Capitol Building...but that’s not the times we are in.
Now to get to whether I’m being too hasty here, let’s remember that Senator Chris Murphy just gave an OVER/UNDER on Democracy in this Country at ONE YEAR.
Trump is already testing the waters on defying the Courts and will go further without pushback. We have seen that he folds when he is pushed back hard enough.
With Democracy at stake there is no limit to Hard Enough except to act within The First Amendment and the Law.
In my opinion our first step needs to be recognition that we need a Wartime Consigliere- I think it should be Senator Elizabeth Warren because she has a known record of success (CFPB) and is a good communicator who unites the Bernie Wing and the MOR.
Add to this that Trump hates being around smart, tough women (it’s an Achilles Heal) and that we have had two women nominated for President so it would be a good time to try a different tack in the Senate Leadership as well.
You may have another choice and that’s fine so long as they are savvy communicators and know the stakes.
I am not getting an Ego ride here by actually speaking out anymore than the Front Pagers or any other person on DKos. I just say this because other responses I’ve seen here are , “Well WHO are you to say this” and snarky, “Oh yeah, listen to Jason”….comments.
My answer is I am just as scared as anyone else here and it is forcing me out of my “comfort zone” so it is definitely not about me.

Oh, yeah, here’s Psaki saying the exact same thing I and many on DKos have been saying….
Unsubscribe from the DNC donation requests and type ‘STOP’ on your text donation requests. Redirect a little money to AOC because the DNC can read that message and she feeds people with her money.

UPDATE: The Poll is now at 98% of 624 respondents.
It’s interesting that no one here seems to be defending Schumer, do that’s a good thing IMO.
