The majority of Citizens here, including myself, are getting a better handle on what is going on in the Homeland — even if the “news” is all about Musk and Trump.
What is not being coveted however, are preparations for the next stage of the current coup. Preparations that are assuredly in the works.
When the “ news” was all self proclaimed militias and Trump’s "very fine people” other aspects of the previous J6 coup attempt received far less attention than deserved Now that Musk and Trump are moving from early Shock and Awe refusal to acknowledge any consideration of judicial constraints, eventual resistance by Citizens is only a matter of time. Unless of course we just surrender with hardly a whimper.
The initial assault is playing out Results so far are likely better than expected. Consolidating gains as the next phase could be more problematic.
It is hard to predict what comes next but it is damn sure certain something will. Given the tenor of the times Citizens will likely be taken by surprise. Again
Institutions upon which we rely, the social structure with which we are familiar, a general sense of comity and more are no longer what we knew.
Our entire social contract is being destroyed to accommodate privatization. There is neither attempt to hide the goal nor any semblance of substantive response. In fact Citizens continue to fund all of it. Musk and Trump are the public faces of a far more extensive project.
The What and Why we face are painfully obvious. But those do not matter at this point.
All that matters is survival. As a nation, as a Constitutional Republic , as a relatively self determining people all of it and all of us are under attack.
That which Citizens have allowed must be stopped. Our only alternative is surrender — complete and unconditional.
Leaders will emerge when there is something effective to lead. Citizens can create those possibilities.
