Remember You Are Dust, and To Dust You Will Return. [1]

It saddens me that this once-idolized country has fallen to such a low that the Führer—I mean, president—willfully chooses to ignore direct orders from duly appointed U.S. judges. The respect for checks and balances is a fundamental pillar of our nation, and without its stability, we will collapse into dust.
Polls announced today show that Trump's approval ratings are as high as ever. Am I wrong for feeling angered by this? Is our country really so ignorant that we support our commander-in-chief violating the highest law of the land—the Constitution? There is very little black and white in American politics, but upholding the Constitution has always been a bipartisan principle.
Even if you agree with what Trump is doing by desecrating the foundations of America, you must accept that he is going about it the wrong way. If a majority of these lower court decisions were heard by the Supreme Court, they would most likely rule in Trump's favor—not necessarily based on merit. But alas, it is no surprise that, instead, the Trump administration has resorted to breaking the law and further tipping the already unbalanced scales of America in its favor.
I do not often wish ill on others—I find it petty—but I can say without a doubt that I go to sleep every night wishing Donald J. Trump would not wake up with me the next morning. A president is meant to lead a country by inspiring unity and upholding the laws and morals of the land. Instead, President Trump has used his power to incite fear, push his personal agenda, and indoctrinate his cult following beyond reconciliation.
It saddens me to say—as the son of an educator—but the faults of our nation lie in its education system. Without proper education, it is impossible for anyone to look at the world with a clear and open mind. Unfortunately, this administration is not blind to that fact. Education has been an early and brutal victim of their regime. At times, it feels hopeless, as if there is nothing that can be done to resolve the situation at hand, but we must not give in to this growing despair. We must accept that some people cannot change—they are rooted in their ignorance. Instead, we must focus on those whose minds remain open to knowledge and empathy. Educating the middle pack is the key to ending this man's tyrannical reign.
MAGA will forever be MAGA; no amount of protest or dissent will change that. However, the opposition to MAGA is larger than MAGA itself. Unity in opposition is required to preserve the democracy and sanctity of our nation. Radical Republicans believe it is un-American not to support a corrupt president, but in truth, it is un-American to support the destruction of America's fundamental beliefs. Americans who doubt the Democratic Party’s ability to unify and lead should not let that dissuade them from giving their support. Reorganizing the Democratic Party is a challenge, but it pales in comparison to the challenge of repairing the extensive damage already done by the Trump administration.
I conclude with a reminder: the internet can be censored, the news can be biased, but until they start burning them, paper print cannot be stopped. Spread the truth about what’s happening in our country by any means necessary—whether by book, flyer, or letter.
