What would happen if the US Marshal's stand down? [1]

The question of enforcement of a court order is becoming more and more pertinent as Trump, Musk and Trump’s agency heads, continue their attempt to eliminate agencies and destroy the administrative state.
They are on the edge of defying court orders outright. They have, so far, evaded, temporarily ignored, or partially complied, with orders, but as of yet, they have not been issued a contempt order.
I know myself, as well as many others are extremely anxious and worried about what would happen if the US Marshal’s Service (who are under the Department of Justice) refuses to obey a court that has requested they detain someone, or take other action pertaining to a court order.
