After all the whining we endured over Trump's fact-free accusation that the 2020 election was stolen, after $millions of taxpayer dollars were spent proving the results were correct and untainted, it turns out that Trump stole the presidency in 2024. The super-cynical republicans gave up on democracy many years ago, but Trump's campaign was and is a full-on assault, and the reps are playing for keeps.
Note. When a narcissist is doing, or about to do, something bad, they blame their opponent for doing that very thing. They think everything is a gunfight where the hombre who fires first wins, and it is.
In 2024, Jim Crowe voter suppression laws removed 3.565 million votes from being counted. If they had been counted, Kamala Harris would have won in MI, WI, PA and GA and had 286 electoral votes, and she'd have won the popular vote by 1.25 million votes. In the year before the election, 4,775,000 voters were purged from the voter rolls without any explanation, largely black and young democrats (detail in the film Vigilante Inc).
Trump's team resurrected a 1946 KKK strategy of vigilante challenges, where individuals can challenge and remove names from the voting polls. Last year, one GOP official in GA removed 32,000 names from the rolls, another removed 10,000. The individuals removed are not informed, and their votes are invalidated. In addition, 586,000 ballots were "spoiled" - disallowed because machine could not read them, wrong color ink, etc. Over a million provisional ballots were also tossed out. 2.1 million mail-in ballots were not counted (Democrats are 51% more likely to vote by mail). Many mail-in ballots were slow-walked by the Post Office and arrived too late to be counted. (See
